1. Meet & Greet With Ellie
Don’t forget that the Fishers will be holding a meet and greet with their friend Ellie on Friday Nov. 7 at 7pm at their house, 2610 Grayland Avenue. Ellie will be speaking about her missionary experiences at our Nov. 9 service, but this will give you a chance to get to know her better. 2. Olive Tree Alliance Conference
The Olive Tree Alliance is a growing movement in Richmond dedicated to caring for orphans through relief, fostering, and adoption. They are hosting a free conference Nov. 14-15. For more information, contact Erik (erik [at] franklinstreet.net) or visit www.olivetreealliance.blogspot.com.

3. Mercy and Missions Teams

Just a couple announcements this week…

1. Mercy Fund
This Sunday is the last Sunday of the month, so we will be collecting for the mercy fund as well as our regular offering during this week’s service. Whatever is given to the mercy fund will be kept separate from our general budget and will be used to aid those in our congregation and in our community who have emergency needs. Please prayerfully consider what you might give.

2. Meet & Greet with Ellie
Matt and Jenny Fisher will be hosting a meet and greet with their friend Ellie on Friday, November 7 at 7pm at their house (2610 Grayland Avenue). Ellie will be speaking about her missionary experiences in Vietnam, Indonesia, and Egypt at our regular service on November 9, but this will give you a chance to meet her beforehand and get to know her a bit better. 1. Loaves & Fishes
This Sunday (October 19) is our opportunity to serve at Loaves & Fishes. We will be meeting at 11am at the Conrad Center (1400 Oliver Hill Way) to prepare and serve the meal and to clean up. 1. Mid-Month Prayer
You’re invited to join us for mid-month prayer on Wednesday, October 15 at 6:30 AM. We’ll meet at Erik’s office at 1205 W. Main St. Suite 211. Come for all or part to pray for each other, for FSC, and for Richmond.

2. Justice Workshop
Join a group from FSC at the Rethinking Justice Ministry Workshop on Thursday, October 16 at 6:30pm at Good Shepherd Baptist Church (1200 N. 28th Street). This event is sponsored by RISC, a partnership of congregations throughout Richmond that work together to bring justice to the city. For more info, contact Sean (seanrhorer [at] gmail.com).

3. Marriage Seminar
A national organization called Family Life is hosting the Weekend to Remember marriage seminar in Richmond, November 21-23. The cost is about $90/person.
