Bible Study Resumes on Thursday
Wednesday, January 9th, 2008 | Posted in Events, General Info
Bible Study is back from Christmas vacation. We’re meeting Thursday, January 10th, at 7pm at Sam’s place, 3108 Patterson Ave #4.
Don’t worry if you haven’t been to FSC Bible Study before - you can come at any time and not miss a beat. Plus, we’ll re-read the sections that we’ll be studying each week, so you’ll know what’s going on and will be able to participate.
We’ll be meeting every other week, so the next installment will be on January 24th @ 7pm.

Open Letter to FSC from Rev. Steve Constable
Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008 | Posted in General InfoDear FSC,
The time has come for me to say ‘goodbye’ to you – at least as a regular preacher for the Community.
FSC has been a dream come true for me. To see you all at church Sunday by Sunday has been a true inspiration and a reminder of God’s grace that the Gospel can reach anyone anywhere!
Although I’ll be returning to my sultry suburban existence south of the river, Stony Point and its elders will continue to be a resource for FSC and provide oversight to you. The preaching - as I understand it – will now be shared between Erik Bonkovsky (who you know well as a preacher), Kevin Greene and Steve Shelby. FSC couldn’t have asked for a better group to fill its pulpit until the day comes when you’ll have your very own preacher!
As you may know the next step in the transition towards becoming an actual church began several months ago with the recognition of a formal leadership team and the recent formation of a search committee to find the new pastor. These teams will be working hard over the next few months together with Kevin Greene and Tom Harkins (an elder at Stony Point) to compile a list of candidates to be interviewed. Lord willing, we hope and expect that a candidate pastor will visit and be confirmed by summer 2008.
The Leadership Team is made up of: Benjamin Ferrell, Jessee Caleb, Ross Catrow, Ruthie Byrne, Sam Fetchero, Kelli Ziemer, Sean Patrick Rhorer, and Jon-Marc Haden. They have our full support and prayers as they work hard to serve you and the City with the Gospel in the days ahead.
These are exciting days for the Community. We’re all looking forward with great anticipation to see what God will do.
In His care,
Steve Constable
