Mercy and Justice survey

Our Mercy and Justice team is conducting a survey over the next couple weeks in order to research and explore different ministry options that we might want to pursue as a church.

If you weren’t at church on Sunday February 8 to take the handwritten survey, we’ve put a version up online. It’s very short and should only take you a couple minutes.

1. Bible study
Our biweekly Bible study will be meeting this Thursday, August 21 at 7pm.

2. Small groups
Small groups will be starting in September. If you’re interested in being part of a small group or if you want to know more, email erik at erik [at] franklinstreet [dot] net.

3. Installation
Remember, Erik will be officially installed as our pastor during our service on September 21. This is very exciting for FSC as a whole and we hope you can make it!

4. Getting involved

Organzing contact info, small groups, etc.

As Valerie’s update shows, there’s a lot going on at FSC…

1. FSC contact database

   We are putting together a database of contact information for all attendees of FSC who would like to be included. This will help us in coordinating volunteers and will make getting in touch with each other much easier. Don’t worry - we won’t be selling any information to anyway. This is simply an internal document that we would like to have on hand. If you feel comfortable being added to the database, please email me with the following information:

   Name
   Email address
   Phone # (optional)
   Mailing addressEven if you think we already have this information, please send it along anyway.

2. Small groups
   
   This September, FSC will be starting a few small groups of about 8-12 people (individuals and couples). We are planning for them to meet weekly for Bible studies, fellowship, and service opportunities. If you’re interested in being part of a small group or if you have questions, please email Erik at erik [at] franklinstreet [dot] net.
3. Lost and found
   
   Members of Harvest Renewal (the church we rent the building from) found a man’s ring at the church. If you think it might be yours, contact the Harvest Renewal office at 353-2997.And last but not least…
4. Making it official
   
   On September 21st during our regular service, Erik will be officially installed as our pastor. There will be a celebration immediately after the service. More details coming.

Two things for now…

1. FSC Bible study is this week. Sean Rhorer will be leading a study focused on social justice - it’s sure to be great.

2. Ann Douglas Enghauser has graciously offered taking over coordinating our snacks and childcare volunteers. If you’re interested in helping out with either of those, please email her at memento.ade@gmail.com. Allison has volunteered to do snacks for this Sunday, but the rest of the summer is wide open.

I will be sending another email out tomorrow with specifics about our next session of Loaves & Fishes (this Sunday!). Keep your eyes open for it!

Hey FSC!

Just a few things…

1. Our new women’s fellowship is meeting again this Thursday at 7pm at
   Allison Cuddy’s apartment (3024 Stuart Avenue #3 - blue apartment on
   the corner of Stuart and Belmont)
2. Our next Loaves & Fishes is Sunday June 15th (not this coming
   Sunday, the next one). We will have a sign up sheet at church this
   coming Sunday, so please see if you’ll be available to help out. We
   are hoping to sign up people in shifts this time: one group to cook
   and serve the first round, another group to serve the second round and
   clean up. This should help us make sure we have enough people
   throughout the day.
3. We are need of people to provide snacks for after our services. The
   next few Sundays are June 15, June 22, June 29, and July 6. If you’re
   able to help out, please send me an email with the dates you are
   available.
